Centrifugal Juicers

Centrifugal juicers use a fast-spinning, grated blade basket to shred produce and separate juice using centrifugal force. They're generally the fastest way to juice at home and tend to have wider feed chutes, which cuts down on prep chopping.

Selection criteria

• Speed settings: multiple speeds let you match RPM to softer or harder produce.
• Feed chute width: wide-chute models can accept whole or halved fruits and vegetables, saving prep time.
• Pulp ejection: continuous pulp-ejection designs are convenient for larger juicing sessions since you don't need to stop and empty a basket.
• Noise: the high-speed motor is typically louder than a masticating juicer -- a real tradeoff for speed, not a defect.

Practical limitations

Centrifugal machines can struggle with leafy greens compared to masticating models, since thin leaves don't always catch the spinning blade efficiently. If leafy greens are your main use case, see masticating juicers instead. For citrus specifically, a dedicated citrus juicer is usually a better fit than either style.
